A New Beginning Yet Again

Standard

Anchor Scripture: Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV)

[18]“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.
[19]Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

God has always loved us from the very beginning, from the beginning of 2023 up till it’s end. We have not schemed our way through but by His enduring mercy.

The Bible verse today admonishes us of His assurance and promises over our lives. Even though as humans we are concerned with retrospections of last year ; how did we fair, the gains, the flaws , the things we wished we could have done, the regrets and most importantly the resolutions we are about to make yet again.

All these are necessary yet the gift of life from God supercedes all our plans and resolutions for 2024. So we need to commune more with the one who has power over us. Our worship to Him is non negotiable. Imagine the ones who couldn’t make it to 2024 had plans too. His love kept us.

The things of Yahweh are not subjected to public opinion. He does as He pleases. Imagine the greatest of preachers or evangelists may not be doing His will. Think about it. Knowing that in every christian era there is betrayal, destruction and salvation. Many of this world will always fight the truth. So signs that true messages are piercing believers is that the crowd will pick offence, preachers will be hated.

This New year, we must ask the holy spirit to lead us, to open our inner eyes to see places of worship where repentance is far fetched yet we find ourselves there. Fleeing immorality is the safest way to build ones faith. Being in the right crowd where we can be rebuked in the love of Christ yet become children of God -who can be salt to the world makes more meaning.

We pray that every sinful baggage from 2023 will never thrive again in our lives, the bad habits , the hatred, envy, that opens the doorways to demonic manipulation be shut in the mighty name of Jesus. As we walk into a new season may heavens open the gates of favour, and the love of Christ in our lives . Amen! Happy New Year. Be blessed.

To Ascend Don’t Give Up

Standard

Anchor Scripture: Acts 2:41-42(NKJV)
[41]Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
[42]And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

The keywords to look out for in our verses today are “continued steadfastly” meaning they didn’t relent after they were baptized, the sojourned in prayers.

To keep the car firing at a fast speed, the accelerator is engaged persistently non- stop, otherwise the speed will gradually diminish and the car would certainly pull to a stop. The same scenario applies to the things of the spirit. We need to maintain steam, to ascend to the level we could anticipate results from God.

It takes consistency and purposeful determination to rely solely on the promises that God has provided for us. Just when we are about giving up, His might pushes us further to never relent; because greater is He that is in us than the world. Distractions, finances, obstacles can not hinder us from serving Him. When we fall, we must rise up and look up to Him, the finisher of our faith to give us the strength.

Prayer: May the Lord lift His countenance on us, may He strengthen us to aspire to remain persistent in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let the Fire on Your Altar Burn

Standard

Anchor Scripture: Genesis 12:6-8 (NKJV)

“Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh. And the Canaanites were then in the land.

Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.”

Abraham, built an altar to reverence God that blessed Him and we too must build an altar in our houses and places to reverence God who has been gracious to all to this day. Our altars may not be build on mountains or be dramatic as we may think but just a corner in your little space in your home could become a spot where you call on God daily to seek His face and adore Him. An altar is a covenant reminder that we owe thanks to God and we must not forget that at all.

An altar is where we offer sacrifices of prayers and supplication, where we entreat the favour of Jehovah; the Iam that Iam, the Lilly of the Valleys, the one who was, who is and is to come; the ageless and changeless God. An altar we remind you why you need to flee the temptations of the flesh and hold on to God; why you need to trust more in God than man. The altar will help you dialogue with the Holy spirit and order your day and command it to go according to the acts of God.

When we lack altars, we lose the right to call on God and remind Him what His word says. A king cried to God to extend his time on earth according to Bible account and God granted his wish. The king in his plea, showed the good things he did for God; and as merciful as God is showed mercy. This can be applicable to all who have the experience of an altar with God.

Prayer: Lord, pour your favour on our altars as long as we call on you daily and take the glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Be of Impact to others

Standard

Anchor Scripture: Acts 10:38 (NKJV)

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

Today’s text reveals to us that Jesus had laid the foundations of impact even while on earth, for He went about doing good and healing the oppressed. We too must go about doing good. Our impact must be positively felt by others drifting away from His presence. What many have not known is what is holding them down. So by revelation if we commune in the spirit, we would unveil God’s word for us to us and there shall be advancement on all fronts.

If you can be of great influence in your environment by your dependence on the word, spreading the word will become easy and stress free. Many in our neighborhoods lack help and favour because of so many reasons, these people are the ones that we can lead to Christ and they will access the favour of God.

You can choose to be impactful in your place of work, by adding value, handling things with care as though they were yours, maintaining assets thrusted in your care and many things under your care. This is how we can be of impact and God will cause more to enter into our hand.

Prayer: We pray Lord to make us impactful, that we may do your will. Amen.

The more we meditate on His word, the more we soar in spirit

Standard

Anchor Scripture: Joshua 1:8 (NKJV)

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

If we must ascend in the spirit of God, we must read His word non stop, day and night just as the text of today says. From experience, the moment men slow down in the search of the knowledge of God, the devil begins the draw them closer for mischief . Anyone that wants to see the the authority of God must not sacrifice his passion to dig into the word of God. You want to see the devil tremble before you them spend more time with God not men.

This has to come in many dimensions, advance God’s kingdom with your time and resources else you will go down. Remember the bible says for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty and strong to the pulling down of stronghold. A carnal mind will look at his abilities, strength, money, connections; and these are blatant limitations that hinder the realm of the spirit. It is good to have them but we must not count on them else they will fail us over and over.

So we must soak ourselves in His presence to be able to ascend in the spirit in the face of the challenges and realities in the world.

Prayer: Lord incubate us aright to be able to ascend in the spirit realm to do your will all the time. Amen.

Surrender all to Jesus

Standard

Anchor Scripture: Luke 9:23-24 (NKJV)

“Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.”

I have learnt from personal experience that when you chase things of this world you will be restless and hopeless but if you fix your gaze on Jesus you will have rest. Jesus speaking in our text today emphasizes the need for His followers to deny themselves of the distractions and drawbacks, setbacks and inhibitions, pick up their cross and follow Him.

This is completely true, if we follow Jesus’ teaching with judiciously we would have secured our lives. The eternal blessings are considered more valuable since the time there is not measured by man. So, when we are in doubt, we must consult what the word of God says not the doctrines of church or human perception.

To surrender to God is to make Him first in our agenda. If He is not first in our lives, we are bound to fail. Since we are of God, let us begin to rely on Him for wisdom, understanding and knowledge that supercedes human knowledge.

Prayer: Oh, Lord, accept us even when we veer off from your presence . Teach us to surrender all to you and give up our hope in things of this world, that we may enjoy your grace. Amen.

Flee the Love of Money

Standard

Anchor Scripture: 1Timothy 6:10 (NKJV)

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

Money is very good to the extent that even the bible says it answers all things. However Jesus said it will be difficult for the rich to enter into the kingdom of God ; for He knows that money could be a great limitation for people who truly want to follow Christ. Many have ducked the truly worship of God because of their pursuit of money. Money is a key resource in the world and it takes only the wise to resist the love of it.

Many preachers in the cause of evangelizing, have been carried away by the love of money, some have even monetized prayers to the extent that people who are gullible see it as normal and continue to fall prey. Some of these narratives have led genuine sowers to be reluctant in sowing seed in to the kingdom. However, we encourage seed sowers not to give up; for there are many who are passionately doing the will of God and need to be assisted in one way or the other.

The love of money has propelled the ageing of many and even reduced the life span of others. I say this because people who worry all about money eventually kill the peace of mind they ought to enjoy. Do things that are valuable and the reward will ought weigh even money itself and you will be happy that God too will be on your side.

Prayer: We pray Lord to add grace to our contentment in you, may He bring partners to spread your gospel in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Jesus Loves You

Standard

Anchor Scripture: John 13:34-35 (NKJV)

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

If Christ has saved you and I, you would truly know from the bottom of your heart that, He truly loves us. At the mention of His name every knee must bow and every tongue confesses that He is lord over all; even demons attest to that fact. So if you and I are under the umbrella of a name that rebuilds and remolds what has been altered, what can we say more than to proclaim the love of Christ.

Our text today reveals that He – Jesus first showed us love even when we were yet sinners and he died for us in the end. His love never ended on the cross because he promised to send the holy spirit among us and He kept to that promise. If we walk in the love of Christ we will discover how powerful His name is till date. At the mention of His name, our problems melt. He keeps showing Himself strong in our lives to the extent that we are subject to His will.

Jesus loves us to the extent that he gave us power to cast out demons and heal the sick. Can human beings give such powers free to you without repercussion? Of course not. Don’t despair for His love will overwhelm that which troubles you and you will hold your peace. His love is abundant to chase away hatred and evil.

Prayer: Lord, keep loving us, and make us strong to propagate your word on earth. Amen.

Winning Souls is Great Wisdom and Gain

Standard

Anchor Scripture: Daniel 12:3 (NKJV)

“Those who are wise shall shine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever.”

When proverbs 11:30 talks of “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
And he who wins souls is wise”, our text today further affirms it further by stressing that those considered as wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament and those that turn many to righteousness like stars forever and ever. We can deduce clearly why many servants of God are always running to hinter lands to preach the gospel of Christ and win more souls through crusades and evangelism. They certainly would want to shine likes stars.

The world has always been in a battle between evil and good, however, God wants all His children to be saved and that is why His servants need to spread the message the more to the hinter lands so others who are still wandering astray would turn back. Imagine with all the efforts made across the world to bring people to Christ, yet, there are people who against the body of Christ. Now it shows that the world would have been worse if people stayed back in winning souls.

Every effort to win souls for Christ is a way of getting renewed in strength and spirit; it is way of staying in covenant with God, and being reminded why we should not give up or lose ground to the enemy.

Prayer: Lord, we beseech thee, we ask that you continue to shower your grace upon our lives to be able to win more souls into repentance and your kingdom at large. Hear us as we ask through Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Build Your Faith in God

Standard

Anchor Scripture: Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

Faith like Hebrews says is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. This is a mystery yet it is what is expected of the children of God to be able to please Him. To have faith is to first believe that there is God and He is in us and He rules over the affairs of men. When that is taking care of then we can align our thoughts to believe what His word says.

To have faith is to submit totally to the will of God. Abraham is called the father of faith because he submitted to the will of God. He passed the test God brought before him. How could a man, promised by God to be the father of all nations still obey to sacrifice the very seed that would lead to the actualization of that promise; but he willingly obeyed and God made His promise to him to come to pass eventually.

To they that have faith in God, it is like an insurance that is eternal; whatever happens they will not be moved an inch. When this happens, all our worries are replaced with joy and unusual strength to overcome the cares of this world. Anyone trusting in a human being is cooking a recipe for disaster that can only be averted if only they redirect their faith in God. Systems, relationships, may fail us but God never fails. If we rely on Him, He will always come strong for us.

Beloved look up to God, he will shake people to lose their sleep for your sake. Be blessed.

Prayer: Dear Lord help us to build our faith in you day by day so, we can confront the fiery darts of the devil, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
